Nightime Inspirations

I keep a notepad and a light-up pen beside my bed so I don’t have to get up or turn on the light when I get those night-time inspirations. I did some research, because many light-up pens are disposable. The pens at the link below have replaceable batteries. You can buy them in many colors, but I like red because it doesn’t interfere with your night vision. You have to buy a minimum of 12, but they make nice gifts for your writer friends. 🙂

  1. If I get a nighttime inspiration, I curl up and go back to sleep. I do my best work when I’m unconscious.

  3. I had one of those nighttime pens, but wore out the batteries doing light shows on the wall, dueling sabers, and playing find the pen under the covers. Now I just use a pencil and write in the dark. It makes for some hilarious reading in the morning.

  4. Pen with a light. A great idea. I have mastered the art of raising up and grabbing my notebook on nightstand and writing the inspiration that awoke me. – all the while in the dark. Sue
